Everything that happens before, during, and after a new website goes live — so you know exactly what to expect on launch day.
Launching a website involves far more than simply clicking "publish." Our team runs through a comprehensive checklist before every launch to ensure nothing is missed. Here's what that process looks like.
Pre-Launch (1–3 Days Before)
- All content reviewed and approved by you.
- All images optimized and displaying correctly across devices.
- Contact forms tested — submissions confirmed to reach the right email address.
- All links checked for broken or incorrect destinations.
- SSL certificate installed and active on the staging URL.
- Google Analytics connected and tracking correctly.
- SEO metadata (page titles, descriptions) completed for every page.
- Sitemap generated and submitted to Google Search Console.
- Mobile responsiveness verified on multiple device types.
- Page speed tested and meeting target score (80+ on Google PageSpeed).
Launch Day
- DNS updated to point your domain to the live server.
- SSL certificate issued for your custom domain.
- 301 redirects configured if you had an old website (old URLs redirect to new equivalents).
- Confirmation that the site loads correctly from multiple locations.
- Old website/staging environment taken offline.
Post-Launch (Within 48 Hours)
- Google Search Console indexing request submitted.
- Confirm all contact form submissions are routing correctly.
- Monitor uptime and server response times for the first 24 hours.
- Review Google Analytics to confirm traffic tracking is active.
You'll receive a launch confirmation email when everything on this checklist is complete. If anything feels off after launch, submit a ticket immediately — we consider the 48 hours post-launch a critical monitoring window and will prioritize any issues.
