File format guidelines, sizing recommendations, and best practices for submitting photos and videos to use on your website.
High-quality images make a significant difference in how professional your website looks and how fast it loads. Submitting the right file formats from the start avoids delays and extra processing work.
Recommended Image Formats
- Photos (people, products, locations): JPG at the highest quality available. Aim for at least 1920px wide for full-width images.
- Graphics with transparency (logos, icons): PNG with a transparent background.
- Logos (scalable): SVG format is ideal. If unavailable, PNG at 2x or higher resolution.
- Video: MP4 in H.264 encoding. Keep files under 50 MB for web use; larger files can be hosted on YouTube/Vimeo and embedded.
What to Avoid
- Screenshots from a phone or screen — they are low resolution and will appear blurry.
- Images downloaded from other websites — these may have copyright restrictions and are often too small.
- HEIC or AVIF formats from iPhones — convert to JPG first using your phone's export settings or a free online converter.
How to Submit
Upload images through the Files section of your portal, or attach them directly to your support ticket. Label files descriptively (e.g., "team-photo-john-smith.jpg") to help our team place them correctly. If you have more than 10 images to share at once, contact your account manager for a shared Google Drive folder.
