Updating Your Contact Information on Your Website

2 min read
Updated June 2025

How to request updates to the phone number, email address, physical address, or business hours listed on your website.

Contact information on your website should match your Google Business Profile, social media pages, and any directories where your business is listed. Inconsistent information confuses both customers and search engines.

How to Request a Contact Info Update

  1. Submit a ticket under Website Services → Content Update.
  2. List every field that needs to change and provide the exact new information: new phone number, new address with ZIP code, updated hours including holiday variations.
  3. Specify every page where that information appears (typically the footer, contact page, and sometimes the header).

Don't Forget These Places Too

  • Your Google Business Profile (we can update this too — let us know in the same ticket).
  • Your email signature if it includes your address or phone number.
  • Any social media bios that list your contact information.
  • The contact information embedded in your website's schema markup — this affects how your business appears in Google search results.

Contact information updates are typically completed within 1 business day. If you're changing your phone number or email address, double-check that any contact form notification emails are updated to send to your new address as well.
