Annual vs. Monthly Billing: Which Is Right for You?

Updated June 2025

The financial and practical tradeoffs between annual and monthly billing — and how to switch between them.

BRANDED IAM offers both monthly and annual billing for subscription plans. The right choice depends on your cash flow preferences and how committed you are to the service.

Monthly Billing

  • Cost: Standard monthly rate — slightly higher than the annual equivalent.
  • Flexibility: Cancel with 30 days' notice at any time. No long-term commitment.
  • Best for: Businesses testing the service for the first time, seasonal businesses with fluctuating revenue, or businesses that prefer month-to-month flexibility over savings.

Annual Billing

  • Cost: Approximately 20% less than paying monthly for 12 months. Paid in one upfront invoice.
  • Flexibility: Prorated refund available if you need to cancel, minus a 10% administrative fee.
  • Best for: Businesses committed to their service relationship with BRANDED IAM who want to reduce their monthly overhead and maximize value.

Switching Between Plans

To switch from monthly to annual, contact your account manager or submit a ticket under Billing → Billing Frequency Change. The switch takes effect at your next renewal date. Switching from annual to monthly is possible at renewal time — you won't be moved mid-year. Your account manager will calculate the exact renewal date and new invoice amount.
