On managed devices, software should be installed by our team rather than directly by employees. This ensures compatibility, security, and licensing compliance — and prevents accidental installation of unauthorized or malicious software.
How to Request Software Installation
Submit a ticket under IT Support & Security → Software Installation. Include:
- The name and version of the software you need.
- A brief description of what you'll use it for.
- The device(s) it should be installed on (by device name or assigned user).
- Whether you already have a license — if so, provide the license key or account credentials in the ticket's secure attachment field.
What We Check Before Installing
- Security review: We verify the software comes from a legitimate source and doesn't have known vulnerabilities.
- Licensing: Confirm you have an appropriate license for the number of installations needed.
- Compatibility: Check that the software is compatible with your device's OS version and existing software stack.
Standard software installations take 1–4 hours. Installations that require a license purchase or compatibility research may take longer. We'll update your ticket with a timeline once the review is complete.
