Setting Up Slack Notifications

Updated June 2025

How to receive BRANDED IAM portal notifications in your Slack workspace so your team stays informed in real time.

If your team uses Slack, you can route portal notifications — ticket updates, project milestones, invoice delivery — directly to a Slack channel so your team sees updates without checking the portal or email.

How to Set Up Slack Notifications

  1. Go to Account Settings → Integrations in your portal.
  2. Click Connect Slack.
  3. Authorize the BRANDED IAM app in your Slack workspace (you'll need to be a Slack admin to approve the app).
  4. Choose which Slack channel each notification type should post to (e.g., ticket updates to #it-support, invoices to #finance).
  5. Click Save. Test by submitting a test ticket — you should see a Slack notification within 30 seconds.

Customizing Notification Content

In the Integrations settings, you can configure which events trigger Slack notifications and what information appears in the Slack message. By default, Slack notifications include the event type, a brief description, and a direct link to the relevant item in the portal.

If you need more advanced Slack routing (e.g., urgent tickets go to one channel while non-urgent go to another), submit a ticket under Technical & Integrations → Slack Setup and our team can configure a more advanced routing setup via Zapier.
