Acceptable File Formats for Logo Recreation

Which file formats you need to provide for logo recreation, what we can work with, and what to do if you only have a low-quality version.

Logo recreation is one of our most common design requests. Whether you've lost the original file, inherited a low-quality version, or need a vector format for the first time, our design team can work with what you have — but some formats make the process faster and cheaper than others.

Ideal Formats (Vector — Fully Scalable)

  • .AI (Adobe Illustrator): The gold standard for logo files. Contains fully editable vector paths and layers.
  • .EPS (Encapsulated PostScript): Universal vector format compatible with most professional design software.
  • .SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics): Vector format that works on the web and can be opened in most modern software.
  • .PDF (vector-based): Some PDFs contain vector logo data — upload yours and our team will check.

Workable Formats (Raster — May Require Recreation)

  • .PNG: Acceptable if at least 500px wide and on a transparent background. Logos under 300px will require manual recreation.
  • .JPG: Workable but JPG doesn't support transparency. A white-background JPG can be worked with but may need background removal.

If You Only Have a Low-Quality Version

If your only logo file is a small image on a business card scan, a website screenshot, or a blurry photo — that's okay. Our design team will manually recreate your logo as a clean vector file. This process typically takes 1–3 business days depending on logo complexity. Upload whatever you have to your portal under Files and note in the ticket that it needs recreation from scratch.
