Why Microblading?

General Questions
Also known as micro pigmentation, cosmetic tattooing, and intradermal pigmentation is a method of applying natural or synthetic pigment into the first layer of the skin. This technique has been medically developed and specifically designed for safe, permanent application. Permanent cosmetics is used for a variety of reasons such as the enhancement of eyebrows, eyeliner, lip liner and lip color. This technique can also be used to treat skin irregularities, scars, and nipple/areolas.
Prior to any procedure, your health history will be reviewed. Your expectations will be discussed and a guideline will be created with traditional make-up. It is important to create a look that is individual to each client. The goal is to enhance the client’s natural beauty.
Many people can benefit from permanent cosmetics. People who are active and want to save time on their daily beauty routine. People who have poor vision or have a physical disability that makes them incapable of applying make-up. Someone with seasonal allergies or allergies to some types of traditional make-up can also benefit. Permanent cosmetics can also benefit people who wish to correct asymmetrical facial features. Breast cancer patients who have undergone mastectomies can also benefit from a nipple/areola repigmentation. Permanent cosmetics can also be used to camouflage scars due to injury or after plastic surgery. People who suffer from alopecia (partial or complete hair loss) can also benefit.
Once a guideline has been created with traditional make-up, topical anesthetic is applied to the treatment area. A custom pigment is chosen to compliment your natural skin tone. The pigment is implanted using sterilized disposable needles. Strict sanitation and sterilization guidelines are followed. The comfort level varies from client to client and additional anesthetic is used throughout the procedure. Post-Procedure Care instructions are given to each client. The area treated will look much darker and more defined for the first week. Tenderness is expected, but slight bruising and irritation may sometimes occur. After about 5-6 days of healing, the color will end up about 30%-50% lighter. A follow up touch up appointment after 6 weeks is almost always necessary. The touch up appointment is needed so that adjustments to the color and shape can be made. Attention to detail is vital so that the best results are obtainedy.
Consultations
We will schedule a 30-minute appointment slot to go over the procedure and client expectations. A consultation provides you with the opportunity to receive all the important information regarding the service you are interested in so that you are able to make an informed decision.
A consultation appointment is important because it gives both the client and the technician time to discuss the different techniques available. Client has an opportunity to share his/her expectations of the service he/she is considering. Technician can make recommendations based on what technique will give client the best results.
Technician and client will discuss shape and color that best compliments client. Technician will answer client’s questions regarding the procedure. Technician will go over aftercare instructions and the importance of following the aftercare instructions to obtain the best results. Technician will verify with client if he/she has any medical condition which would require client to obtain a written medical consent from their doctor. Possible risk of procedure will be discussed during the consultation.
